Become the kind of person people want to do business with

By Denny Ward

Would you like to earn more money?

I've learned a lot in my career in sales. Some things I learned the easy way, other things I learned the hard way. But there is one thing I know to be true.

Income growth is directly related to character growth.

As a young sales professional I spent time chasing money. I had three sales jobs in my first two years out of college, each move with the promise to earn more of the green, and I was there for it!

But here's what I ultimately figured out. Chasing it wasn't working. I discovered instead that the more I focused on doing the right things and forming the right habits, the more I earned.

I spent time thinking about the successful people I looked up to and I asked myself "why is it that for some people, everything they touch turns to gold?" I realized that there are actually traits that these people shared. Things like:

Focus

Discipline

Self control

Empathy

Personal development

Selfless leadership

They do what they say they are going to do

Honesty

Curiosity

helpfulness

Of course there are many more.

I noticed that when I met and got to know other professionals, the one's with these characteristics were almost always financially successful, and some of them were flat out loaded.

Sales can be the lowest paid easy work, or the highest paid hard work, but hard work alone won't fill your bank account. The financial freedom you seek will come as you commit to becoming the kind of person people want to do business with.

Why not start today?
